Approaching Community & Relationality through an Exploration of the Astrological Houses

we are in relationship upheaval! the process of examining and rewriting our understanding of self in the context of family, partnership, friendship, community, and society at large is well underway. for the parts of us that are most oriented to relationship, this feels deeply unsettling, but for the sake of the interdependent future that we seek, it is exactly perfectly timed.

pluto is in capricorn, finishing up a 14 year journey to collapse outdated, oppressive, societal agreements. chiron is in aries, activating and aggravating this collapse by poking at our deepest vulnerabilities around self prioritization and fears of abandonment.

no matter where this outer planetary square falls in the microcosm of your own natal chart, you are experiencing a version of this macro dynamic of personal vs tribal vs relational vs social vs collective harmony. 

we’ve got a handful of years left of this tension through the process of societal collapse and codependency clearing. this workshop will NOT attempt to offer tangible or immediate solutions to your personal or our collective issues relating to such things, however:

learning to discern between the types of relationships that exist and the context surrounding relationality and connection in both the most intimate and personal aspects of our lives as well as the “professional” or more public facing aspects is a crucial and potentially deeply liberating step in working within the parameters of our current consciousness-curriculum. 

in this workshop, kelsey offers a comprehensive orientation to the houses overall and then facilitates a deep dive into the houses that most obviously are home to relational dynamics and experiences. by deepening your understanding of these places both cohesively and independently, participants will have a chance to strengthen discernment in navigating community and relationality as well as if, when, and how to invest and divest in various community and relational experiences - aka boundary work!

• what do we “owe” to our communities?

• to what and to whom is each of us accountable?

• how can the houses teach us about our experience of belonging and feeling seen?

• how can our personal placements clarify the approach to community and relationality that is most differentiated and aligned for each of us?

this workshop is designed for intermediate to advanced/professional astrologers, but is suitable for beginners, too. the basics of planets, signs, and aspects will not be taught but will be heavily referenced.
